EDUCATION
Associates degree required. Four (4) years directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management or a related closely field preferred.

EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years of work experience with a payroll system or closely related field. Previous experience with a college system is desirable.

PeopleSoft HRMS and/or HCCS experience helpful

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Good understanding of all functional areas within HR/Payroll

Must be well organized, able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and manage sensitive payroll information in a confidential manner

Ability to function independently with little or no supervision

Good verbal & written communication skills
Ability to deal with all levels of employees effectively & courteously

Good knowledge of People Soft, Excel & other Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of federal & state tax laws pertaining to payroll systems
