Student Engagement Ambassador - Student Leadership & Development

Job Description

The Office of Student Leadership and Development employees must be willing to provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere when it relates to Career Readiness events on campus. The student employee will need to be detailed oriented and willing to help manage events pertaining to Career Coaching and Readiness including Career Fairs, Workshops, and support services related to students seeking career advising. The role will also help manage the clothing closet, Handshake Platform, and advertising associated with events. This position will report to the Coordinator of Career Coaching and Readiness.?

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Event & Campus Participation?? 

  • Assist in managing CCA's Handshake platform, including updating job postings and events. 

  • Create advertising materials for Career Readiness events, including flyers, social media posts, and digital signage. 

  • Assist in tabling at events to promote Career Services and engage with students. 

  • Provide peer advising to students on career-related topics and resources. 

  • Support event programming by setting up, managing sign-in tables, assisting with tear down, and ensuring clean-up. 

  • Research and contribute ideas for upcoming career events and workshops. 

  • Connect with community partners and vendors to coordinate resources for events. 

  • Take initiative in identifying needs and tasks for successful event execution. 

  • Actively participate and engage with students during events to ensure their needs are met. 

  • Assist in marketing and communication efforts across campus to promote Career Services initiatives. 

Office Management:?? 

  • Maintain office space and storage areas in an organized and tidy manner. 

  • Represent the office at resource fairs, recruitment events, and other tabling opportunities as needed. 

  • Deliver high-quality customer service to all individuals visiting the office, including students, staff, and external stakeholders. 

  • Aid in maintaining office organization and cleanliness to create a productive work environment. 

  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to support the smooth operation of the Career Readiness Office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Reliable transportation to and from events on and off campus.? 
  • Able to have a flexible schedule.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have completed FAFSA on file
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum six (6) credit hours
  • Must NOT have yet obtained 1st Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be seeking an eligible program of study
