Description
This position ensures that Olympic Colleges key operational functions are executed efficiently, in compliance with regulations, and in alignment with the organizations strategic goals. By doing so, it directly supports the colleges mission to provide high-quality services while upholding fiscal responsibility.
Essential Functions
- Maintain purchasing card (P-Card) and monitor department budget
- Serve as the liaison between staff and the budget office for purchases, provide accurate chart strings, and recommend purchases to the supervisor for final approval. Provide regular budget updates and financial recommendations to the supervisor.

- Monitor the department budget and generating BOOPR reports.
- Reconcile department purchases.
- Facilitate contractor agreements and coordinate small project bids
- Facilitate contractor agreements, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage regulations and managing contactor costs.
- Independently obtain bids for small projects (under $50,000) and coordinate with DES and vendors.
- Provide bid recommendations to supervisor for approval, ensuring alignment with project needs.
- Collaborate with relevant departments (Capital Projects, Purchasing & Procurement) to ensure contractor agreements and bids align with project needs and compliance requirements
- Facilitates the processing of work orders including keys and badges
- Manage the work order system, ensuring tasks are properly assigned and prioritized based on urgency.
- Assign work orders to appropriate departments and track completion, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Review key and badge work orders, coordinating with Maintenance Mechanic 4 (MM4) for key creation and distribution.
- Coordinate the distribution of keys and badges to employees and contractors, ensuring proper authorizations are in place.
- Coordinate with Safety and IT to ensure access controls are properly set and notify employees when keys and badges are ready for pickup.
- Maintain accurate tracking documentation for all key and badge distributions.
- Runs reports, metrics, and KPIs from the work order system to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years' experience in planning, policy analysis, and coordination with public and private agencies

Terms of employment
This is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $67,716 - $91,068. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A, when you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Associate (WPEA) Union. Classified positions qualify for the following benefits:
