Position Summary 
 
Spring 2025 internship providing a unique view of special events as part of the Advancement Department of a major international arts institution. The Special Events Intern will report to the Development Officer for Special Events and work closely with colleagues across the Advancement Department. 
 
Rodgers internships are for current students at Williams College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA).  

Hourly Rate: $18.00
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) 
 

  • Learn about key aspects of working in a museum development office, with a focus on special events, including event planning, logistics, data entry, budgeting, vendor relations, run of show development, as well as front-of-house duties, such as check in and greeting guests.
  • As Advancement special events representative, exposure to Clark-wide events and programs, such as exhibition openings, member-related programs, cultivation receptions, and donor dinners.
  • Assist with production of select private events hosted at the Clark.
  • Assist with a variety of duties in the Clarks Advancement office as needed, including membership-related activities and administration,
  • Opportunity to work at Advancement-related events, as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. 


Minimum Qualifications 
 
Education, Training, and Skills 
 

  • Applicants must be college students at Williams College or Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA). 

 
Work Experience 
 

  • Entry level position.

  • Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to sit at a desk/workstation and use a computer for prolonged periods of time. 

 

  • Work Environment: Work will be performed in an office environment and museum spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
