Professional Tutor - Part Time (Learning Assistance Department)

Job Description:

SUNY Broome Community College is seeking applicants for Professional Tutor in the Learning Assistance Department for various subjects.

The Professional Tutor assists and guides students in their coursework, providing academic support and integrating study & learning strategies to promote independent learning. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.

One year of experience working with students in an academic setting, preferable.

Required Skills:

Training:

Participation in initial training and ongoing tutor development activities as required.


Additional Information:

The hourly rate for this position is $29.90 an hour. 

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
