General Summary

An essential member of the Facility Contracts Department, the individual will participate in the moving, set-up and break down of a variety of events as well as day to day needs of the college. The individual will work inside and outside and may be exposed to wet, cold or hot conditions.

Specific Position Duties

Responsible for setting up various rooms on campus for meetings, training sessions, banquets, and teleconferences.
Pickup and deliver supplies, equipment and various materials on and off campus.
Move office furniture and equipment within and between departments.
Assist in conducting a surplus property sale.
Position will require the individual to periodically report to work early or after hours, on weekends, during scheduled holidays and on an emergency basis.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; Valid Texas Drivers License, ability to meet requirements of to be an Authorized Driver of Odessa College; Must be certified to operate a fork lift; Ability to operate a pickup truck while towing a trailer; Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks and various hand tools; Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch, in order to set and maneuver equipment and various materials; Ability to lift, carry, push or pull a variety of heavy and awkward materials.

Work Hours

Typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Work hours will be adjusted during the summer to reflect the colleges summer schedule.
