Position Title

Massage Therapy Program – Introduction to Massage Fundamentals Instructor

Position Description

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking a qualified, part-time, non-benefited Introduction to Massage Fundamentals Instructor to teach in the Massage Therapy Program in Springfield at the LLCC-Medical District.

Instructors will be responsible for the following:

Provide quality instruction and classroom management.
Make recommendations to appropriate parties for updates/changes as needed to maintain currency of the class/program.
Maintain accurate records and submit records/data by due dates.
Develop syllabus, quizzes, exams, and other course materials.
Use online portal to access instructor resources.

Instructors pay will range $25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience and education. While not guaranteed, the expected class schedule is to be July 21 – August 25, 2025, Mondays & Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

The Paid Leave for All Workers Act allows part-time employees to earn 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked. For more information on this benefit, please visit IL Department of Labor, PFLA Act.

Position Requirements

Instructors must meet the following requirements:

High School Diploma.
Must hold a valid Illinois Massage Therapy License.
Three years of working experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Teaching experience preferred but not required.
NCBTMB Certification preferred.
Candidates must be available in the evenings.
