- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Teaching experience in music at a community college in a multicultural setting.
- Experience teaching online, experience with online pedagogy and instructional technology/learning management systems in both online and hybrid settings.
- Experience directing Concert Band and Orchestra and organizing quarterly student music concerts.
- Knowledge of the California Community College population and the ability to organize and communicate course content for a range of entry-level to post-graduate students.
- Experience developing inclusive and effective culturally responsive classroom activities.
- Knowledge of contemporary trends in music.
- Experience developing and writing music curriculum.
