Job Description Summary

Keep LLCC Moving — Manage Assets, Maintain Order, Make a Difference! LLCCs Property Control Technician is under general supervision, responsible for property control at the college including the Regional Educational Service Areas. They will be responsible for the development, coordination, and maintenance of the comprehensive college wide inventory system for movable equipment, furniture, supplies and other assets. They will also maintain the schedule and maintenance of the colleges fleet of vehicles.

This position is under our Facilities Union. Salary will be no less than $35,069 per year with an excellent benefits package.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of coding, filing, and record keeping.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills to manage a diverse range of responsibilities with frequent interruptions under competing deadlines.
  • Experience with scheduling software and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written/oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Progressive work experience in inventory control working within a public higher educational setting.
  • Forklift certified.

Physical Requirements

  • Push, pull or carry large or bulky objects/equipment.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs. to waist height occasionally.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. waist height to overhead occasionally.
  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Walk up to 1 mile.
  • Conduct occasional overhead work.
  • Dexterity to bend, stoop and lift on a regular basis.
  • Occasional climbing (ex. ladders, stairs).
  • Frequent data entry, keyboarding.

Position Salary

Salary will be no less than $35,069 per year.

Develop, coordinate and maintain an inventory record and fixed asset control system, including classification of equipment in conformance with the Illinois State Property Control Act and college policies. Determine in accordance with regulations, which items should be tagged as fixed assets or as inventory.
