The Music Department is hiring for an Adjunct Instructor to teach private Percussion lessons.  The position begins in the Fall 2025 semester.

Salary Based on number of students

• $655.67/per student in the Fall/Spring
• $300 payment on one lab in the Fall/Spring

• Provide instruction to students in a meaningful classroom and/or laboratory learning environment
• Teach students a 60 minute lesson once per week
• Be present for labs 5 to 7 times each semester for seminar classes, recitals, and juries

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music or Music Education is required plus:
  • A minimum of 14 undergraduate hours of private lessons in area of teaching and
  • 6 long semesters experience performing in a college band or playing in a college ensemble (percussion)
  • At least 2 years experience performing in an auditioned ensemble plus:
  • A demonstrated commitment to serving a diverse array of students, to the community college mission, and to academic excellence
  • Local instructors preferred.  However, will consider applicants who can teach via WebEx (real time remote)
  • College teaching experience preferred
