Position Summary

This is a 12-month, full-time, non-teaching, non-tenure track, on campus administrative position supporting the Graduate School of Education and university teacher licensure and school professional programs

The Director of Assessment and Accreditation is responsible for overseeing the collection, use, and reporting of data for the assessment and accreditation requirements within the Graduate School of Education and university teacher licensure and school professional programs. This position reports to the Dean in support of a broad range of assessment reporting needs and functions.

The Director of Assessment and Accreditation is a permanent member of the GSE’s Program Review and Evaluation Committee and supports data collection and assessment activities required by external accrediting bodies. A successful candidate will possess strong skills in detail orientation, data entry and analysis, communication, working with a team, and experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other higher education web-based systems.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with the development, implementation, and refinement of accreditation processes through AAQEP, APA, NASP, and relevant professional accrediting bodies.
  • Stays informed about changes to accreditation and certification at the state and national levels.
  • Compiles, presents, and analyzes data associated with course, student or program assessment and evaluation.
  • Leads on-going efforts to improve assessment data gathering and reporting and the wider use of GSE assessment management and data tools to support college planning, evaluation, operations and decision-making.
  • Coordinates compilation and dissemination of assessment and evaluation data in preparation for reports or meetings.
  • Manages and analyzes the administration of student course evaluations.
  • Compiles, implements, presents, and analyzes outcomes data.
  • Organizes meetings with appropriate faculty and staff to discuss/present analytics.
  • Directs the preparation and presentation of high-impact and influential assessment reports to drive improvement.
  • Directs the operations and maintenance of all assessment-related software and data systems (e.g., Interfolio, TK20/SLL, etc.).
  • Sets up and uploads course rubrics in online portfolio system.
  • Collaborates with divisions and academic programs in planning and conducting assessments of student learning, goals and outcomes for both internal and external purposes.
  • Updates and implements improvements to databases.
  • Works with faculty and staff to formulate accreditation documents.
  • Assures that program assessment and evaluation tools are updated, disseminated, collected and analyzed.
  • Assists with data preparation for educational research projects.
  • Assists with preparation of grant proposals.
  • Formulates detailed minutes for meetings related to assessment and evaluation.
  • Assists with urgent student, faculty, staff, or adjunct needs.
  • Performs other responsibilities as determined by the Dean.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Two years in an office setting utilizing Microsoft applications
  • Ability to collect, analyze and present data in a cohesive manner
  • Experience with assessment data collection software
  • Experience with online portfolio software such as TK20, Interfolio or like products
  • Experience with survey software systems such as Qualtrics
  • Experience with statistical software such as SPSS
  • Experience with learning management systems such as Blackboard
  • Demonstrated skill in the preparation and execution of error-proof documents
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in any discipline
