Description:
National Park College is currently seeking a full time Spanish Instructor. This is a 9-month position is responsible for teaching Spanish I and II and Intermediate Spanish I. Teaching responsibilities are 15 credit hours per semester with the opportunity to teach an overload each semester or to teach in the summer if there is sufficient student demand. The position will remain open until filled and begins August 15, 2022.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester with the opportunity to teach an overload each semester or to teach in the summer if there is sufficient student demand
  • Improve student success through college and divisional assessment process
  • Responsible for completing instructional assessment of courses and participating division level analysis of findings
  • Serve on committees as needed
  • Maintain office hours
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree or higher in foreign language or a related field and 18 graduate hours in Spanish
  • Three years of teaching at the post-secondary level with preference given to community college experience
  • Experience using available technology such as D2L Brightspace or other LMS with the potential for teaching online courses
  • Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues to achieve strategic goals
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged sitting and standing
  • Extensive computerized work
