Job Description

AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
WABASH VALLEY COLLEGE | MT. CARMEL, IL

DESCRIPTION: The Agricultural Technology Instructor position is a full-time, nine-month academic year, tenure-track appointment. Primary instructional responsibilities are to teach and assess student learning in courses leading to an occupational degree in Agricultural Technology through traditional and online teaching modalities and hands-on laboratory activities. Instructor will participate in assessment activities and online teaching.

Other responsibilities include student recruitment and retention, academic advising of majors, and evaluation and verification of student competencies. Current college assignment is Wabash Valley College, Mt. Carmel, IL. Courses may be expanded to other campuses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Systems, Agricultural Production, Agribusiness, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Successful college teaching experience utilizing computer-assisted, multi-media instruction, and to teach in at least one of the following areas: Precision Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Soil Science, Animal Science and Agribusiness. Preference will be given to applicants with Community College teaching experience.
