CAMPUS: Pickens County High School and/or Mountain View Campus

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This is a part-time position based on the semester system. Under supervision of the Associate Dean of Public and Professional Services/Digital Media Technologies and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies, performs all aspects of instruction for the Culinary Arts program. The person in this position is responsible for providing instruction necessary to develop and sustain the Culinary Arts program that prepares students with employable skills for business and industry. Classes will be taught at Pickens County High School in the evenings and at Mountain View in the mornings

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate Degree in Culinary Arts
• OR
• Bachelor's Degree AND Industry Certifiable through the American Culinary Federation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)

  • Certification at the Culinary Educator level.
  • Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction, instructional technology, and student advisement/registration

SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary – Per course taught; there are no state benefits.
