Job Description
The Psychology Department at Normandale Community College is seeking one or more part-time faculty members to teach Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal, and/or Developmental Psychology classes face-to-face in Spring 2022 and/or Summer 2022. We are looking for student-centered instructors who can provide an engaging and accessible classroom experience. Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree with a major in psychology or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in psychology
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
• Masters, Psy.D., Ph.D in Psychology; Prior college Psychology teaching experience; awareness of or experience in applying culturally responsive pedagogy.
Other Requirements
ABD PhD/PsyD candidates in Psychology will also be considered
All faculty are responsible for preparing lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for their classes as well as maintaining accurate records and submitting pertinent data to the department and/or the College. Applicants hired to teach 6 credits or more can be placed on the salary schedule.
