Duties and Responsibilities:

50%
Supervise Student Engagement Counselors and office staff. Assist with recruitment, selection, and training of student peer team to promote peer support and leadership. Maintain an active caseload of students during their first year of college. Develop and administer training workshops for new and current staff, assist with policy and procedures manual, evaluate program staff and departmental services, and submit performance and assessment reports on various program services.

Serves a lead point of contact for case management, communications, scheduling, and career services platforms. Oversee departmental communications and maintain departmental websites. Preform monthly usage assessments and satisfaction surveys. Compile monthly performance reports. Serve on college committees, councils and/or taskforces as assigned.

Oversee the planning and implementation of New Student Orientation and Student Convocation events. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to help students make an informed career decision. Assist and guide students through occupational exploration and the career decision-making process. Determine appropriate assessments and interventions required to assist students/alumni. Analyze and interpret career assessment results and incorporate in career counseling sessions. Engage students in use of library and on-line resources for researching employers and current employment opportunities. Develop and conduct career workshops. Provide other counseling and administrative support as required to accomplish the mission and goals of CNSET.

Required Education: Master's Degree

Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in a college setting, especially with new students and/or first-generation students and/or special populations and orientation programs.
Ability to work in a collaborative setting.
Ability to develop and make presentations to the public.
Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated competency in word processing, database, spreadsheets, and presentation programs.
