Job Description

Maysville Community & Technical College is currently accepting applications for a full time, term contract position on the Maysville Campus for an:

Associate Dean of Student Affairs (Director of Student Success)

The Associate Dean of Student Affairs has the responsibility for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, programs, and services that support student success and improve student retention and completion. This position works closely with faculty and student services staff.

Duties:
  • Provide overall leadership for programs and services that address student academic and non-academic needs, including accessibility services, success coaching, and student well-being.
  • Manage college-wide retention tools such as Starfish and Signal Vine to identify, support, and communicate with at-risk students.
  • Supervise student success staff on each campus, and manage the department's strategic planning and budgetary processes.
  • Oversee the operation of the Student Success Center on each campus.
  • Oversee the Tutoring Center on each campus and online tutoring services.
  • Maintain direct contact with targeted students including but not limited to monitoring attendance and academic progress; discussing and supporting the student as she/he resolves student issues that occur in the classroom environment; informing and appraising students of available resources; advising students and working with students experiencing difficulty academically or in other areas, helping them to develop and implement student action (success) plans.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Experience (Certificates, Licenses, Registration):

Master’s degree (Guidance and Counseling, Student Personnel Services, Educational Administration, or related field) and one year related experience, or equivalent.
