Student Financial Aid Coordinator

Job Description

The primary purpose of the full time Student Financial Aid Coordinator is to to provide quality customer service to current and prospective students regarding financial aid matters. Campus location may vary (Hopkinsville or Fort Campbell campus).

Application Deadline: Application deadline is August 7, 2022. Applicants will be notified if selected for an interview. Search may be extended if additional candidates are needed.

Duties:
  • Process SAP appeals through OnBase, record decision in PeopleSoft, notify students of decision and any stipulations, and track student progress each semester.
  • Provide financial aid processing for students. Processing includes packaging aid, reconciling state funds, adjusting awards, making SAP calls to counsel with students, building budgets, and working purge lists.
  • Provide financial aid customer service to the public via phone, email, or in person.
  • Assist students with completing the FAFSA and other online forms and paperwork.
  • Process student workers hired under College Work Study program, including placement, completion of hiring paperwork, student tracking of funds, timesheet reminders, review of System Office Payroll distribution reports, terminations, and working closely with Human Resources and campus or off-site placements.
  • Scan documents into OnBase.
  • Answer call center escalated tickets.
  • Work closely with other departments in resolving financial aid issues.
  • Serve on campus committee(s) as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Financial Aid.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (related field) and two years related work experience, or equivalent.
  • Oral and written communication, customer service, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and knowledge of financial aid procedures.
  • Task oriented with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to service the public and other departments on campus.
