Adult Education Outreach Specialist

Summary:
Position Description

The Adult Education Outreach Specialist will be responsible for making personal and community-based outreach contacts in their service area to increase awareness about Adult Education programs, resources, and workforce preparation upskilling. Also responsible for attracting new and former students to thier adult education center, therby increasing enrollment nubmers and Measurable Skills Gains (MSG). The major focus is to increase enrollment through developing community partnerships.

This is a defined-term contract position renewable each fiscal year based on available grant funding.

Duties:
Major Responsibilities/Duties

• Serve as the primary liasion between thier Adult Education program and the Kentucky Adult Education's (KYEA) Recruitment and Outreach Sention Coordinator, helping promote KYEA marketing campaigns, distributing informational materials and promotional items, and educating thier center staff on new initiatives and program details.
• Represent the local provider's Adult Education program at a variety of community events - career fairs, back-to-school events, professional oragnization meetings, community partner gatherings, secondary and postsecondary events and other initiatives in which adult students or potential service providers/partners are likely to participate.
• Facilitate positive relationships with community contacts and potential partner.
• Responsible for creation, development, and maintenance of their program's social media platforms, to include, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikToc, etc.
• Responsible for customization of KYAE provided marketing templates to meet their program's specific needs.
• Evaluate outreach services provided to potential student and partners and advises management of need to re-evaluate policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development/modification of new or existing activites.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with in Marketing, Advising, Student Counseling, or related field.
• Two years related work experience.

Minimum Salary: $35,568.00 Annually
