Job Description



DESCRIPTION: Full-time, tenure-track instructor to teach college level Spanish courses. The college offers both day and evening classes to adult, traditional, and college credit enrolled high school students. The instructor will plan and deliver lessons, assess and evaluate student learning, maintain and submit accurate student records, refer students to support services as needed, attend authorized college activities and recruitment events, participate in professional and college staff development activities, and observe office hours, among other responsibilities.


Master’s degree in Spanish or a Master’s degree plus 18 graduate hours in Spanish required. College teaching experience using a variety of teaching modalities (face-toface, online, hybrid, and/or virtual synchronous) preferred. Experience teaching
college-level Spanish preferred. Applicants should be familiar with and able to use computer-assisted, multi-media instruction and innovative teaching techniques in the classroom. Must have excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills; must be comfortable working with a diverse population; and must have the ability to make decisions in accordance with policies, rules, and regulations.


This position will be located at one of the locations within the IECC District. Potential worksites include Fairfield, IL, Robinson, IL, Olney, IL, or Mt. Carmel, IL. Possible travel to other IECC locations. WAGES/BENEFITS: Commensurate with education and experience.
