SALARY:
$15.00 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Bachelors Degree
Preferred:
• Bachelors Degree in Nutrition
Classification:
Non-exempt
Position Type & Work Schedule:
• Part-time, no more than 19 hours per week
• Hours may vary
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures
• Skill in effective communication (written and verbal)
• Skill in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Skill in positive, productive and flexible customer service
• Ability to engage and demonstrate good interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow multiple tasks through to completion with an attention to detail
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other department staff, faculty,
students and the public
Work Environment:
• Office environment
• Moderate noise level
• May be required to attend outdoor events
Physical Demands:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• May require periods of standing or walking
• May exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Travel:
• May be required to travel to other locations using various modes of private, commercial, or fleet transportation.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
To provide direct support to the program activities and assist students and faculty as
needed.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serve Students as needed and support students in career exploration by teaching
career exploration class
Assist in events locally to promote the Nutrition and Dietetics program
Inform students of the ability to transfer into various nutrition programs at U of A
Assist faculty in innovative ways to involve students in community activities that
promote healthy nutrition
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties
as assigned.
