Hiring Range: Hiring range is $75,535 to $84,000. Starting salary is commensurate as based on experience, education and other appropriately qualifying factors within the specified hiring range.

Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications:General Description: Under the direction of the Dean of NOVA Libraries, this position assumes responsibility for overall management of campus library collection development and management.
Duties and Tasks:
Duties and Tasks:
- Promotes library collections and services.
- Provides library instruction.
- Provides reference and circulation desk services.
- Participates in library planning and campus and college activities and committees.
Must reside in the (DC, VA, MD) DMV area.
KSAs:
- Knowledge of library systems and practices
- Knowledge of library acquisitions systems and collection assessment functions
- Knowledge of emerging professional trends, current developments and emerging technologies in library collection development.
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective library instruction.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Possess good technology, verbal and written communication skills.
- Marketing and merchandizing skills
- Knowledge of office productivity software such as MS Office.
- Team player, capable of serving diverse clientele in a busy academic library.
- Ability to be reliable and flexible.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in library and/or information science awarded by a regionally accredited institution.
- Relevant collection development and teaching and/or customer service experience.
- Experience using library acquisition systems and collection assessment functions.
- Experience providing effective library instruction and excellent customer service.
Additional Considerations:
- Masters degree in library and/or information science awarded by an ALA accredited institution.
- Additional masters degree in an academic teaching field.
- Relevant professional librarian experience in a community college setting.
