Nine-month, tenure-track position; salary follows approved faculty salary structure commensurate with education and experience; summer teaching available as needed; excellent fringe benefits

• Reporting to the Division Chair of Communication and Fine Arts, this Speech faculty member will support student success by preparing curriculum, including writing syllabi, developing new courses, selecting textbooks, etc.;

 

• developing and teaching Speech classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods;

• teaching on campus and at offsite locations, including local high schools;

• assisting in the advisement of students;

• serving on various assigned college committees;

• Excellent fringe benefits accrue with full-time position.

Able to traverse campus and classrooms; able to see, hear, and talk; able to drive to off-campus locations.

 

• Masters Degree in Speech or Communication/or a masters degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in Speech from a regionally accredited college or university;

 

• teaching experience at the community college level desirable;

• interest in alternative instructional delivery methods;

• demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations;

• excellent written and oral communication skills;

• other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance ones value to the institution;

• exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met;
