- Provide quality instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.

Qualifications and Physical Demands
Minimum Qualifications
- Must meet one of the following qualifications under (1) through (4) and demonstrate evidence of D.E.I.A. (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access) :
- Valid California Community College Instructor credential, appropriate to the subject, per Education Code 87355 (issued prior to July 1, 1990); OR
- Any Master's degree level discipline in which learning assistance or tutoring is provided at the college where the coordinator is employed; OR
- (a) the minimum qualifications to teach any master's level discipline in which learning assistance or tutoring is provided at the college where the coordinator is employed.
- A Master's degree in education, educational psychology, or instructional psychology, or other master's degree with emphasis in adult learning theory; OR
- Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to the above. Candidates making an application on the basis of equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalency in addition to all other required materials. Please see "Additional Information" below to determine if you need to submit an Application for Equivalency.
- Demonstrated evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the racial, ethnic, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic, academic, and cultural diversity within the community college student population, including students with different ability statuses (e.g., physical and/or learning) as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.

Pay Philosophy
For a Part-Time Instructor position a maximum starting range of $73.22 to $101.89 is offered, based on the 2023-2024 salary schedule of $73.22 to $139.22. (*See PT Instructor Pay Schedule BB for further details) (Download PDF reader)

- Regular attendance is considered an essential job function; the inability to meet attendance requirements may preclude the employee from retaining employment.
