Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. Center is seeking a motivated and organized Administrative Assistant for our 2nd office located at the Historic Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center in West Baltimore to provide essential support to our team, including the Executive Director, Director of Operations and the Director of Development. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating the smooth functioning of our office, ensuring effective communication, and supporting our social justice policy initiatives. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent multitasking abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED

3 years experience providing administrative support.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing.
- Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
- Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email and calendaring software.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions.
Other:
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office
- productivity software.
- Experience with database management and familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
