Shenandoah Universitys Purchasing & Accounts Payable Department is accepting applications for an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a full-time, entry level, benefited position located in downtown Winchester, Virginia.

Required Skills

Responsibilities:

Assist in the processing of a variety of items for the Purchasing and Accounts Payable office while ensuring appropriate documentation per the Universitys policies and procedures.

Complete and/or assist the department with the following tasks:

• Various administrative/office tasks
• Accurate data entry
• Vendor statement reconciliations
• Process invoices and disbursement checks
• Reimbursement processing
• Prepare contracts for payments
• Process requisitions and purchase orders
• Purchasing card reconciliations
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Provide great customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of purchasing, accounts payable, and/or general accounting preferred
• A minimum of 1-3 years of office work experience is required, and 2-3 years of college education is preferred
