We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join the Imagine! team and make a difference in the lives of those who live in Broomfield and Boulder counties.
Purpose of Position- Provides executive leadership and strategic direction to Imagine! services. Serves as an active member of the Executive Team helping to develop and implement Imagine!s vision and mission. Oversees and continuously improves Imagine! services. Ensures high quality, effective, person-centered, and cost-efficient service delivery and business processes. Responsible for quality of care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Provides a culture of service excellency.
The Chief Services Officer (CSO) oversees a portfolio of Imagine! programs that includes Residential, Employment, Adult Community, School Age, Behavioral Health, and Community Partners.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides executive-level leadership to Imagine!

- Implements long and short-range strategic objectives, operating business plans, and policies for Imagine!
- Represents the corporate interests of Imagine! in actions, communications, and decisions.
- Enhances Imagine!s position as an innovator/thought leader/change agent in the field of human services.
- Acts in a leadership role for Imagine! in the implementation of corporate initiatives/strategic planning/innovation management.
- Engages in corporate risk management including legal liabilities for all of Imagine!s interests.
- Collaborates with other leaders throughout the organization and provides proactive leadership for delivery of all direct client services.
- Anticipates and identifies significant opportunities or issues affecting the operations of Imagine! services.

- Ensures that analyses, plans and strategies are developed to address such opportunities and issues.
- Advises the CEO on current and anticipated matters which may affect Imagine! and/or its stakeholders.
- Identifies opportunities for growth and drives revenue improvement through cost control and profitability analysis.
- In collaboration with other departments, upgrades and implements internal system controls, messaging, software tools and procedures.
- Promotes and differentiates Imagine! services by implementing emerging technologies that benefit operations and individuals quality of life.
- Oversees the coordination, integration, and delivery of all direct service programs, business partnerships, contracts and related services.

- Operates Imagine! services in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, County, and Municipal statutes, rules, regulations, and Imagine! policies and procedures on a daily basis.

- Supervises and administers all direct care services – provides leadership for managers and supervisors of direct care professionals.
- Leads and mentors team of Assistant Directors.

- Develops, monitors and is held accountable for all departmental budgets.
- Promotes a culture of learning, education, and growth for staff and for all clients of services.
- Cultivates community and business partnerships that enable Imagine! to increase its reach in the IDD community and in support of its mission.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:
- Passion for the mission of Imagine! and its values.
- Knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws, rules and regulations relating to direct I/DD services, including, but not limited to Medicaid waivers.
- Knowledge and understanding of new and emerging adaptive and other support technologies to best serve clients.
- Working knowledge of systematic instruction for people with I/DD.
- Knowledge of general budgeting principles.
- Skill in demographic data management, reporting, and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels, including the ability to present to and facilitate large groups.
- Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
- Skilled at coalition building and creating collaborative relationships with community and business partners
- Ability to work with various office technologies including word processing software, Internet based databases, and communication tools.
- Possession of a valid drivers license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.
Training/Education:
- Bachelors degree in field related to I/DD or similar social services/healthcare services required. Masters degree in related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience leadership experience in nonprofit, government or related business supervising professional staff, preparing budgets and reports, evaluating services, and conducting strategic planning activities.
- Experience implementing new service programs and large-scale systemic changes within an organization.
- Experience managing complex projects.
- Experience working in large service organization with multiple services highly preferred. Experience leading and developing high functioning data driven teams to meet organizational goals
Working Environment/Physical Activities
- Effective with shifting roles, responsibilities, and expectations in a changing environment.
- In-office position with some remote work locations permitted – hybrid role.
- Some local and State travel required.
- This position requires regular use of a personal vehicle with liability insurance that meets Imagine! standards.
- This position requires regular use of a personal mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet.
