Reporting to the Regional HR Director, the Regional Human Resources Manager will act as the regional “face” of human resources providing direct support to their assigned lines of business to deliver service and execute the organizations HR strategy. The Regional Human Resources Manager will support the Regional HR Director with planning, directing, and coordinating human resource management initiatives. Requires a solid understanding of business operations. In-state and out of state travel is required and at times is frequent depending on business need.
- Collaborate with the Regional HR Director to help develop, design and implement policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines to support the alignment of the workforce with the organizations strategic goals.
- Maintain human resources policies and procedures to ensure they are current, relevant and supporting the needs of the organization, while also complying with the appropriate federal, state, and local laws. Conduct review on annual basis, and recommend changes as needed to the Regional HR Director.
- Ensure the availability and training of appropriate staff resources and talent to meet business needs.
- Conduct a continuing study of business policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new local, state, and federal developments.
- Working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; directing other persons within a department and/or across several small work units; and monitoring budget expenditures.
- Provide support and back-up to Human Resource Department as needed.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Facilitates improvement processes regarding team performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related field, or 6-8 years of experience as an HR Generalist with at least 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and solid working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to make formal presentations in front of large audiences as needed.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle adversity and frequent change, and balance workload with multiple and competing priorities.
- Customer-service focus, with demonstrated experience dealing successfully with front-line internal and external customers.
- Experience in administering human resources policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing.
Preferred
- PHR/SHRM certification from Human Resources Certification Institute, or Society for Human Resource Management.
- Prior experience with non-profit/social services organizations.
- Masters Degree in HR management or related field.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of work station and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment::General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
