Essential Job Duties
The Department of Accounting at NC State University is seeking applicants for a part-time, Non-Tenure Track Faculty Lecturer position. These positions can be for one semester or one year, with the possibility of renewal. Applications will be kept on file for one year, should openings become available in subsequent semesters.
Successful candidates will teach 1 to 3 courses in the BSA, MAC, and/or MBA programs. Teaching areas include accounting information systems, auditing, business/data analytics, business law, financial accounting, intermediate accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and not-for-profit/government accounting. Courses may be taught on the main campus in Raleigh, online, and/or potentially during summer school and study abroad programs.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Requires a masters degree and professional or teaching experience related to the teaching assignment that is significant in duration (e.g., 5 years) and responsibility level, and current at the hire date.
OR
- A bachelors degree in a field related to the teaching assignment and an equivalent or exceeding depth, duration, sophistication, and complexity of the professional or teaching experience.
Other Required Qualifications
- Excellent teaching ability.
- A commitment to the success of students and programs at the University.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional certification (CPA for example) and experience teaching at the college, university or community college level.
- The ability to teach in more than one area.
- Experience teaching and developing online courses.
Required License(s) or Certification(s)
- If an applicant does not have a masters degree, must have professional certification related to the field.
Valid NC Driver's License required
