Financial Aid Coordinator

Description
This position is responsible for overseeing the awarding and administration of all student loans, state scholarships, and state grants at GCSC. They are also responsible for the administration of financial aid for clock hour programs and Return to Tile IV calculations.

Examples of Duties

  • Manage the federal Return to Title IV process, ensuring compliance in these detailed and complex federal rules and regulations.
  • Manage financial aid for students in clock hour programs to include calculating, awarding, and monitoring using detailed and complex federal rules and regulations
  • Manage the packaging process and awarding of multiple need-based funds.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance in the administration of all student loans, state scholarships, and state grants.
  • Reconcile various federal and state financial aid programs both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate with fellow post-secondary institutions to ensure that students arent receiving federal Pell grant funds at two schools simultaneously.
  • Oversee consortium student processing by coordinating FL Shines submissions, initiating R20/R30 requests, applying enrollment adjustments, and ensuring
  • Advise and counsel students and families about financial aid options.
  • Provide support with front desk responsibilities as needed
  • Attend and support Financial Aid events as needed to assist students and families
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and families.
  • Participate in training, conferences, associations, and professional development to remain current with federal, state, and institutional regulations and processes.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks, as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise up to two employees, including the Financial Aid Specialist.

Typical Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelors degree, from a regionally accredited college or university, and at least two (2) years of customer service experience. At least one (1) year of financial aid, accounting, or banking experience is preferred.

Pay: $44,129.00 - $49,299.00 per year
