  • Remove snow, apply de-icing materials (calcium chloride and liquid calcium chloride), and remain on-call during inclement weather, including holidays and extended hours as needed.

Seasonal Grounds Support

  • Safely operate a variety of equipment including front loaders, backhoes, excavators, high rangers, limb chippers, tractors, and 2-cycle handheld landscaping tools.

Event & Campus Support

  • Assist with trash pickup and collection during special events such as football game days, concerts, and athletic events.
  • Complete required safety and compliance training through the Universitys eNDeavor portal.
  • Participate in goal setting and yearly performance reviews.
  • Provide additional grounds support as assigned to uphold the Universitys high standards for campus aesthetics.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • 6–12 months of relevant experience required; 2+ years in landscaping or tree care preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong equipment operation experience (bucket trucks, loaders, blowers, etc.).
  • Knowledge of plant care, tree health, disease, and insect management preferred.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
